Hello, I'm Reon
From fixing phones as a kid to leading creative teams for global organizations, my journey has always been fueled by curiosity and a passion for problem-solving. As a Creative Lead at Guru Digital & Integrity1 Digital (Now know as Redfinch) , I spearheaded projects for clients like New Zealand Customs and Waitomo District Council, crafting brands and digital experiences that resonate.
Today, I continue to blend creativity and technology, transforming ideas into solutions people love.
My Vision
Let Me Take You Back to Where It All Began
From a young age, I’ve been the “tech fixer-upper” in the family, armed with curiosity and a deep love for gadgets. Back then, it wasn’t out of altruism but strategic barter: “I’ll fix your phone if you let me play Snake or Space Impact for an hour!” Whether it was a ringtone that wouldn’t play or mysterious charges from value-added services, I had it all figured out.
When I was in school, I didn’t own a computer, but that didn’t stop me. I’d run to my friend’s place or a cyber café to satisfy my gaming obsession. Life changed in 2011 when my father gifted me a computer after a stellar school result. What did I do? Played hours of video games, of course! But then came a plot twist in 2013. At a game shop, I stumbled upon a web development CD. Curious, I bought it, and that course became my first peek into the digital world. I started building websites about games and designing posters just for fun, and before I knew it, I was hooked.
While studying for my BBA in Accounting, I took up a job as a junior accountant at National Hotel & Tourism Training Institute, Bangladesh Parjatan(Tourism) Corporation. It paid the bills, but my heart wasn’t in spreadsheets. I wanted to create, to innovate, to build things that mattered.
So, I dove headfirst into web development and soon realized many clients also needed logos, branding, and social media designs. Naturally, I expanded into graphic design to meet their needs. This blend of technology and creativity felt like my calling, and I ventured into freelancing as a web developer on Upwork.
It was on Upwork that I met Sean, the owner of Guru Digital. I applied for what I thought was a web development project. During our chat, Sean casually mentioned he needed a UI/UX designer. Did I have the experience? Nope. Did I tell him I could do it? Absolutely!
What followed was a whirlwind. I had two days to learn UI/UX design, master Adobe XD, and deliver a solid project. With no broadband at home, I camped out at a friend’s house, helped him with some of his assignments, and in return, used his WiFi to download a 10-hour UI/UX course and Adobe XD software. I binge-watched the course in one day, absorbed as much as I could, and started designing the next. The project, called “Mind and Body,” was a hit. Sean didn’t just like my design—he hired me full-time as a UI/UX designer. A few months later, I was promoted to Creative Lead at Guru Digital.
When Guru Digital was acquired and rebranded as Integrity1 Digital, I continued as Creative Lead, steering projects for some incredible clients and expanding my skills further.
SEON Agency is more than a design agency—it’s a mission-driven partnership between Sean and me, built on shared passions for design and giving back.
Born from conversations about life, goals, and dreams, SEON (a blend of SEan and reON) carries a purpose beyond creative excellence. Every project we take contributes to a greater cause—a portion of our earnings goes toward feeding struggling families, children, and the elderly.
At SEON, we believe great design can make an impact both on and off the screen.
At Guru Digital and Integrity1, I’ve had the privilege of working with some of the most prominent names, including New Zealand Customs, Waitomo District Council, Northland Regional Council, and Emerge Aotearoa. Each project pushed me to innovate, solve unique challenges, and deliver exceptional results.
